As a registered Non-Governmental Organisation, we have signed a Service Level Agreement with the Department of Social Development. Therefore to keep up with the department’s rules and regulations the department visits the home from time to time. On 24th and 25th of April 2013, we had a very important visit by the department of Social Development for monitoring and supervision purposes. This visit was indeed very special as it sought to support the home and help it to grow and do things right. The officials from the department had meetings with Sacred Heart Children’s Management Team and also had a chance to interview some of the children. They also took a tour around the home premises and inside the children’s cottages to ensure that children’s accommodation is aligned with the children’s Bill of Rights.
